Conference Programme

NB: Sessions may be subject to change as the agenda develops.

The Global Off-Grid Solar Forum & Expo 2026 will bring together the leaders, innovators, investors, and policymakers shaping the future of sector growth and developing actionable pathways towards universal access (SDG7).

The programme is designed to reflect the full breadth of the off-grid solar opportunity — and the partnerships needed to realise it. Alongside the off-grid solar community, GOGSFE 2026 will also convene strategic partners from across the agriculture, mobility, digital connectivity, and finance sectors, bringing new perspectives, capital, and networks into the conversation.

The upcoming programme and session agenda will be organised around three strategic tracks exploring the sector's most pressing challenges and greatest opportunities. From expanding energy access and powering livelihoods to unlocking investment and strengthening markets, these conversations will help define the next chapter of off-grid solar.

Track 1

Powering Lives

Expanding energy access, strengthening resilience, and delivering impact at scale

How can reliable off-grid solar reach more people, more effectively, and with greater long-term impact? What will it take for the companies serving them to thrive? This track explores the business models, partnerships, and policy approaches shaping the next generation of energy access. From PAYGo and Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS) to battery swapping and beyond, discussions will examine how the sector can continue to innovate while delivering affordable, reliable, and resilient energy access to underserved communities.

Track 2

Putting Solar to Work

Creating jobs, powering enterprise, boosting incomes, and driving economic growth

Energy access is an economic multiplier. It creates jobs, powers incomes, and unlocks agricultural productivity, rural enterprise, and livelihoods across some of Africa's most underserved communities. This track focuses on how off-grid solar can drive economic development across agriculture, healthcare, mobility, commerce, and digital connectivity. Participants will explore the innovations, partnerships, and financing approaches needed to scale productive use technologies and maximise impact.

Track 3

Financing for the Future

Mobilising capital, strengthening companies, and scaling sustainable markets

As the off-grid solar sector matures, financing models must evolve. This track brings investors, donors, DFIs, governments, and companies into the same room to work through what it actually takes to fund growth, resilience, and profitability, including in markets that are harder to serve. Sessions focus on what is keeping capital from reaching the businesses that need it, and what must change for markets to stay both inclusive and commercially sound.
